For years, since WWII, the number of nations possessing nuclear weapons has increased from one to seven and the number of warheads has increased from a few to many thousand which has the potential of destroying much of humanity as well as much of the animal kingdom. The survivors in an apocalyptic landscape would face a dystopian future that is unimaginable.

Some of the noteworthy accomplishments in foreign affairs has been: the Reagan-Gorbachev friendship and Nixon’s restoration of Sino-American relations. If the president unilaterally reduced our nuclear stockpile, how might that be received by other nations? I believe that it would be looked upon favorably and reduce the nuclear arms-race.
